Literacy in the Content Areas

Jean Hribar is an Instructional Coach for the Berea City School District in Ohio. Her 32 years of teaching include special education, elementary, and middle school English Language Arts. She is the Treasurer for her local, serves on her local Ohio Teacher Evaluation committee, and is the co-facilitator for the District Instructional Leadership Team. Jean is an AFT National Trainer for Reading Comprehension Instruction, Meeting Writing Expectations in the K-5 Classroom, Culturally Responsive Pedagogy, and Differentiation. She is the proud mother of two Ohio State University alums and lives with her husband in Brunswick, Ohio.

Kimberly has been an educator for sixteen years and currently works in an elementary public school as an assistant principal of literacy in Washington, DC. Kimberly has an M.Ed. in Elementary Education and a Post-graduate certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration, both from The George Washington University. Kimberly is endorsed in elementary education (1-5), special education (PK-12), and educational leadership and administration (K-12). Kim’s areas of interest are in early literacy acquisition, and equity, inclusion, and diversity. Kimberly is currently enrolled as a doctoral student in Educational Leadership and Administration.
